Southern Ellis AIA, LEED AP

Southern Ellis, an associate architect at HKS Inc. in Dallas, is the chair of The AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) “Next Generation” Committee and the 2014 recipient of the Next Generation Scholarship sponsored by the AAH and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHA). A young leader passionate about rallying his peers to become the future leaders in healthcare design, Southern has also served as the chair of the AIA Dallas Associates Committee and led a discussion at the 2012 Healthcare Design Conference illuminating trends in developing our profession’s young leaders. At HKS, Southern was selected as the 2011 HKS Healthcare Fellow, researching Healthcare Design in China, and the 2014 HKS Xchange Fellow, spending 3 months working in the firm’s Shanghai office.
