Linda Dickey RN, MPH, CIC, FAPIC

Linda Dickey is the 2022 past president for the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and is currently an independent consultant based out of Spokane, WA and Laguna Niguel, CA. Linda has experience in adult critical care nursing and nearly 30 years in infection prevention & control (IPC), quality and patient safety. She has provided IPC expertise to the Facilities Guidelines Institute, a US-based non-profit guidelines organization that develops design criteria for health care facility construction. In addition, she has taught for 20+ years for the American Society for Healthcare Engineering in courses related to healthcare design, construction and water management and served on the ASHRAE 188 Committee to develop the national standard for legionella management. In September 2022 Linda retired from the University of California, Irvine where she worked for 20 years in epidemiology & infection prevention, quality, and patient safety.
