Krista is a licensed professional electrical engineer with more than 20 years' experience specializing in healthcare electrical design. She plans electrical systems that support the mechanical systems, life-safety systems, emergency power systems, medical technology and diverse spaces within buildings. Krista is a member of ASHE (American Society for Healthcare Engineering). She currently serves on the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 70 National Technical Committee-Code-Making Panel 13, which serves as the principal consensus body responsible for developing and regularly updating the NEC (National Electrical Code) articles pertaining to emergency power systems. Krista is also a contributing writer and “Xpert” for IdeaXchange for EC&M Magazine (Electrical Construction & Maintenance) and is regularly published in Healthcare FacilitiesToday and other trade magazines. She has presented at the PDC conference, IAEI state conferences, and Midwest Healthcare Engineering conference. Krista received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Iowa in addition to a Bachelor of Music Degree in Clarinet Performance. In her spare time she plays in the Minnetonka Symphony Orchestra and serves as Secretary for the Board of Directors for the Music Association of Minnetonka.
