Andrew Streifel assists with environmental hazards exposure in healthcare facilities. He has more than 38 years of experience problem solving environmental infection–related issues in health care facilities. This experience has provided evidence-based information to help facilitate design and construction practice for health care facilities. He serves on several standards and maintenance committees including ASHRAE Standard 170 for health care facilities, NACADA standard for duct cleaning and the FGI Guidelines Revision Committee. Recent publications pertain to fungal air quality in hospitals, isolation patient room ventilation performance, and water quality issues. Andy has helped train over 10,000 participants around the world in health care construction practice for infection prevention.
