Description

Texas Medical Center (TMC) in Houston, the largest medical campus in the world, houses a collection of more than 50 patient care, research, and educational institutions well-known individually for their excellence. Dr. Robbins took on the position as head of TMC to bring these individual institutions together to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation with the aim of transforming the future of medicine. With its large concentration of scientists, TMC has the opportunity to harness its collective knowledge, talent, and technology to lead the next generation of innovation in medical research and clinical practice. Support for these programmatic endeavors includes maintaining and improving the physical infrastructure that serves these institutions, including a vision for a new campus with common facilities where scholars from around TMC can come together for ground-breaking collaborative research.
