Shawn Seaman is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Suffolk's National Healthcare and Science & Technology efforts. He is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in support of Suffolk’s mission and vision, and enhancing internal organization processes and infrastructure to ensure continuous growth. As part of these efforts, Shawn oversees all healthcare and science & technology projects and manages work acquisition and client relationships for these sectors. Shawn’s advocacy of strong team collaboration, use of state-of-the-art technologies, and ability to cultivate key staff members has enabled Suffolk to expand its client base to a national level. He has directed some of Suffolk’s most complex projects for clients such as BioMed Realty, Broad Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and UMass Medical School. In 2009, Mr. Seaman was integral to the Center of Life Science|Boston’s receipt of the AGC’s Chairman Award. Since joining Suffolk as a project manager in 2004, Shawn has consistently contributed to the company’s success with his wealth of construction industry experience, hands- on management style, and demonstrated leadership qualities. Shawn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. He is also a licensed architect and has received his OSHA 10-hour certification.
