Jake Wolf

Director, Capital Projects, UTMB

Jake Wolf has 19 years of experience in staff development and management, construction, estimating, procurement, and project management for hospitality, industrial, healthcare, high rise buildings, airports, complex renovations, and financial institutions. Mr. Wolf has an extensive construction and management background which enables him to identify clients' needs, correlate them with the project budget and guide his team to create positive and successful results. His broad experience with large and small projects, along with his unyielding commitment to project quality, provides a unique perspective to the design, construction, management and staff development process. 
Mr. Wolf's skills include Staff Development and Management; Construction Contracting; Construction Documents and Contracts; Surveying; Construction Management; Construction Labor and Safety; Construction and Business Law; Construction Finance; Cost Estimating; Engineering Economy; Structural Steel Design, Timber, MEP, and Reinforced Concrete Structural Design.

Due to Jake’s ability to handle several complex projects simultaneously and complete them on time and under budget, Jake was given the honor and opportunity to become the Director of Capital Projects and has taken the lead responsibility of overseeing all major Healthcare projects on and off campus while mentoring the other UTMB project management staff. Jake is currently managing the construction and activation of the Clinical Services Wing (127M), Jennie Sealy Replacement Hospital (438M) and Victory lakes Hospital (82M).  All three projects are being built concurrently.  The CSW is planned to open in June 2015, Victory lakes in August 2015 and JSRH will see its first patient in January 2016.  Together the CSW Victory Lakes and JSRH buildings will increase UTMB’s healthcare area by 1,150,000 SF.
