Kevin Marek

Student / Architectural Coordinator, Living Architecture

I am a recent graduate of Texas A&M University's College of Architecture. Currently I am taking a sabbatical from school to explore the real-world industry of architecture, construction, and design. Though still a student at heart, my role as a designer, drafter, and assistant manager lends me to experiences that few of my peers are fortunate enough to experience so fresh out of college.

At three, I work extensively in the realm of resorts, hotels, and senior living communities. Learning the hospitality side of architecture and its application to the healthcare environment has become a focus for finding my niche in the world of architecture.

My goal for the use of architecture in my career and life is to simply create healthy, invigorating spaces for all people to live and interact. I completely agree with Alvar Aalto when he said, 'The ultimate goal of the architect is to create a paradise. Every... product of architecture, should be a fruit of our endeavor to build an earthly paradise for people.'
