Zofia K. Rybkowski, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Construction Science of the College of Architecture and Fellow of the Center for Health Systems and Design at Texas A&M University.
Dr. Rybkowski’s research experience includes lean construction, target value design, life cycle cost analysis, sustainable design and evidence-based design. She researched with Lean Construction Institute founders, Dr. Glenn Ballard and Dr. Iris Tommelein, while at the University of California, Berkeley. She has extensive experience as an architectural and engineering researcher and design consultant. She researched and taught as a Fulbright Scholar in Hong Kong and has consulted for firms in Boston, San Francisco, Tokyo and Hong Kong, including HOK. Dr. Rybkowski holds degrees from Stanford, Brown, Harvard, HKUST, and the University of California, Berkeley. She earned her MArch degree in architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and her MS and PhD in civil and environmental engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Rybkowski teaches lean construction to advanced construction science students at Texas A&M University, and is a LEED AP.
