Eugene Damaso, AIA, ACHA, is a board-certified healthcare architect with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of design, specializing in the advancement of healthcare environments. As co-founder of KUBO Studio, established in 2023, he leads a practice dedicated to a holistic approach to architecture, integrating design excellence with innovative project delivery. In addition to his practice, Eugene has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Florida’s Citylab for over 11 years, where he mentors future architects and pioneers healthcare design education. He is the founder of the Health Design Integration Certificate program, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to specialize in healthcare architecture. Eugene is also an active leader in the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH). He currently serves as a board member of AAH, where he previously chaired the PDC Student Design Challenge for eight years, expanding its reach and impact. More recently, he established Spectacle, the Academy’s publication highlighting industry insights and member achievements. His dedication to both professional practice and education continues to shape the future of healthcare design.
