After serving 4 years in the U.S. Navy as an electrician, and 8 years in the power generation industry I entered the healthcare field. For the past 29 years I’ve worked at every level of facility operations and have been involved with opening, operating, expanding, and improving facilities performance. My team and I obtained our first Energy Star certification back in 2013. I have a certificate in Industrial Electricity, an associate degree in Mechanical Electrical technologies, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Sacramento State in Vocational Education. I have also obtained the CHFM designation from the American Hospital Association. As well as my C.E.M. as a certified energy manger.
I have been an active member in my state chapter for CSHE since 2002 as well as a member of ASHE. Sitting on planning committees for state and regional institutes, as well as a speaker presenting meaningful topics. I have served many leadership roles and currently I’m the ASHE Region 9 representative, the past president for CSHE and the Energy to Care liaison. In 2012 I received the Emerging Leader recognition from ASHE and this past year I received my Fellow status.
