Michelle Harris Williams MSN, RN, CIC

Michelle is the Director of Infection Prevention for the University Maryland Medical Center, an academic medical center with 800+ beds and multiple specialties. Michelle has a background as a Neonatal/ Pediatric nurse. Michelle has been in the Infection Prevention field for 17 years. Her goal is to create a safer environment for patients, visitors and staff by improving infection prevention and control practices across the continuum of health care at the University of Maryland Medical Center and to empower members of the health care team to prevent infections through imparting knowledge that will enable them to provide quality care with the lowest risk of infection for themselves and their patients.
