Amit Bhansali is a distinguished Senior Vice President and one of the Healthcare Practice Leaders at WSP, a global engineering and professional services firm. With over 15 years of experience as a licensed professional engineer, Amit has made significant contributions to the field of healthcare design and construction. His expertise spans across 18 states in the U.S., where he has led a variety of healthcare projects, including complex renovations, expansions, and new greenfield facilities. Amit's career is marked by his leadership in several high-profile healthcare projects. Currently, he is serving as the Chief Mechanical Engineer for the design and construction of a 2.5 million square foot adult hospital for Indiana University. This project is notable for its emphasis on future readiness, flexibility, and resiliency, ensuring that the facility can adapt to the evolving needs of the community it serves. Additionally, Amit is also leading a team in designing a hospital in California capable of operating in island mode for 72 hours in the event of an earthquake and continue to provide critical services.
