Sustainability Senior Specialist, American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA)
As the Sustainability Senior Specialist for the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA), Austin supports and implements the Associations’ Environmental Sustainability, Energy to Care, and HealQuest initiatives. Additionally, Austin is involved in ASHE’s advocacy efforts primarily within ASHRAE, representing ASHE on ASHRAE 100, ASHRAE 189.3, and ASHRAE Building EQ Committees. Austin has experience in the nonprofit sector prior to joining ASHE, as he was the vice chairman of an environmental organization focused on climate action and advancing a sustainable future. Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sustainability and Political Science, a Master of Arts in Sustainable Development, and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Public Management.
