Principal, DFDG Architecture

As Vice President and Director of Sustainability at DFDG Architecture, Chad is an architect with 29 years of experience designing buildings and environments for municipalities, higher education, and commercial clients. He seamlessly integrates his architectural design expertise with sustainable building techniques, focusing on creating spaces that minimize environmental impact and optimize the well-being of occupants.

His efforts and passion for mentoring the next generation of architects and designers have led to a role as an adjunct faculty at Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, where he has provided graduate students with real-world design perspectives on the design process.

In addition to his LEED background, Chad has taken his sustainability credentials one step further with WELL. Understanding the user experience at all levels has led him to achieve an understanding of sustainable building techniques to deliver spaces that enhance human well-being and health.

Chad holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Washington St. Louis and a Master of Architecture from Arizona State University. He is a Past President of the Arizona Chapter of the United States Green Building Council.
