Dr. Christine Alvero DPT, MBA, FACHE

Vice President Hospital Operations, Moffitt McKinley Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Center

Christine Alvero is the Vice President of Hospital Operations for Moffitt McKinley Hospital. Christine joined Moffitt Cancer Center in 2002 as a staff Physical Therapist. Soon after she became manager of Physical and Occupational Therapy as well as Speech Pathology. Later, Christine was promoted to Director and assumed oversight of the Lift Team and Nutrition Therapy department. She eventually took on responsibility for Cardiopulmonary, Respiratory, Bronchoscopy, and Transport and served as Senior Director of Clinical Therapy Services. It was at this time that Christine became involved in the development of the new Moffitt McKinley Hospital. She was instrumental in the new hospital build, providing operational and clinical leadership and coordination.
Christine holds a Masters in Physical Therapy from University of South Florida, an MBA with a Healthcare Concentration from Saint Leo University, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and most recently became one of seventy-eight Board Certified Clinical Oncology Specialists in the United States. Christine is also an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University in their PT program.
She is published and has been a speaker at regional conferences in her areas of expertise. She is passionate about process flow, efficiency, and operations which has allowed her to lead intra-professional groups at Moffitt.
