Damien Skelton

Damian Skelton is Vice President of FacilitiGroup, the Facilities Management and Engineering team for HCA. Damian is an accomplished Healthcare Facilities professional with over 20 years of experience in large systems. In his role at HCA, he oversees Facilities Management at the 190 hospitals in the portfolio, and is responsible for the Engineering and Infrastructure Capital Deployment for the system, a $1.5b+ financial responsibility. In addition, Damian was the first executive of the Medxcel Facilities Management program for Ascension Health. He led the start-up and implementation of that program for approximately 150 hospitals, focused on standardizing facilities management across the system. Damian leveraged volume to optimize contracts, elevate service delivery, increase capital planning rigor, and cultivate a culture of talent development. Damian is particularly passionate about the shared stewardship for Environment of Care and actively serves as an intermittent Life Safety Code Surveyor for The Joint Commission (a role he has held for nearly 15 years). He also has strong subject matter expertise in due diligence reviews and disaster/remediation response. Damian received his Master of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tulane University.
