Dr. Dan Spencer was drawn to the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters because of the hospital and community’s commitment to the ambitious mental health expansion that provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary care to children in the region and beyond. The mental health programs will increase access to resources and treatments that will be delivered in an individualized fashion with attention to each patient and family’s specific needs. As a psychiatrist passionate about caring for the whole patient in the context of the family system, Dan is excited to see the vision for CHKD’s mental health patient care tower come to fruition. In providing clinical guidance, Dan collaborated with the design team to plan for a continuum of care that will have a profound effect on the community.
