Darshana Kulkarni LEED GA

Design Coordinator II, HDR Inc.

I have pursued a comprehensive educational journey in the field of architecture, acquiring both a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree and a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree. Furthermore, I am presently engaged in the process of obtaining licensure in the state of California, a vital step that demonstrates my commitment to professional excellence and compliance with local regulations.

Following the completion of my Bachelor's degree, I gained valuable experience by working in India for a couple of years. During this period, I had the privilege of participating in diverse architectural projects encompassing Healthcare, Hospitality, and Residential sectors. This exposure allowed me to cultivate a broad skill set and provided me with an opportunity to venture into the realm of project management.

After relocating to the United States and completing my Master's degree, I transitioned to work on projects with a distinct focus. I engaged in projects related to Federal, Transportation, and ultimately realized my long-cherished dream of delving into Healthcare Architecture. Over the past 1.5 years, I have been actively involved in an iconic Healthcare architectural project for UCSF, San Francisco. This project is being executed in an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) setting, which further highlights my adaptability and proficiency in various project delivery methodologies.

Working on healthcare architectural projects has always been my passion, and I consider it the epitome of my career aspirations. The opportunity to contribute to spaces that directly impact the well-being of individuals and communities is immensely fulfilling. Witnessing the positive influence of my architectural designs on patients, medical professionals, and support staff is an incredibly rewarding experience.

In summary, my journey in architecture has been characterized by a dedication to academic excellence, an eagerness to explore diverse domains, and a sincere commitment to the field of Healthcare Architecture. I continue to push the boundaries of my professional growth, aiming to create innovative, impactful, and sustainable architectural solutions that positively shape the lives of those interacting with the spaces I design.
