Dean Kaardal

Dean has been an Electrical Engineer for over 26 years, specializing in Healthcare. He is a Vice President and the sector leader for Buildings in Healthcare. His career includes the completion of over 250 Healthcare projects including the Kelowna and Vernon P3 Hospitals in British Columbia, the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in Edmonton, BC and has recently commenced work on the National Cancer Centre in Doha, Qatar. He is proficient in electrical, communications, and security systems design. Dean is a registered professional engineer in British Columbia and Alberta. He is a member and former board member of the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society (CHES) and an associate member of ASHE. He has presented for clients and spoken at events across Canada including at CHES national conference, BC Electrical Association Roundtable, and for the International Facility Management Association Alberta. Dean also was involved in the writing of the Canadian Standards Association standard for the Design and Construction of Canadian Health Care Facilities.
