Gregory Mohler

Vice President, Planning, Design & Construction, BJC HealthCare

As vice president of planning, design & construction for BJC HealthCare, Greg Mohler is responsible for strategic campus planning, architectural and engineering design solutions, infrastructure, capital budgeting and all construction activities for one of the largest health care organizations in the United States. With $6 billion in net revenues and more than 30,000 employees, BJC HealthCare serves patients and their families in the greater St. Louis and southern Illinois regions through its 15 hospitals and other health service organizations.
Mohler began his career as the director of plant operations for Christian Hospital in 1989.
He was promoted to director of construction for Christian Health Services (CHS) in 1992
and appointed project director after CHS merged to form BJC in 1993. In 2007, Mohler was promoted to director of construction for BJC HealthCare and served in that role until his promotion to his current position in 2011.
A graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., Mohler holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management and an associate degree in architectural technology.
Mohler serves on the Board of the Regional Union Construction Center (business growth of diverse companies) and is actively involved in day-to-day diversity and inclusion initiatives in the design and construction community. He is a current member and past president of the Missouri Society for Healthcare Engineering. He is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), where he previously served on the Membership and Chapter Relations committee.
