Mr. Kelly Mason currently serves as the National Director of Healthcare Partnerships for Specified Technologies Inc. (STI). He is the unrivaled expert, with a passion for his strategic healthcare initiative, in this industry. He has been hard at work in the firestop world for 25+ years. Kelly has implemented programs for managing barriers throughout the United States for over 18 years in existing space and new construction and has assisted the Canadian team with similar efforts. Mr. Mason is the “resident expert” in terms of his well-known understanding of the life safety requirements in hospitals and how changes in the Joint Commission, code compliance, infection control and patient privacy affecting planning and facility projects. Kelly has specialized in implementing firestop programs and firestop solutions to meet the unique needs of healthcare facilities, including compliance with authorities having jurisdiction in their ever-changing fluid situations. He collaboratively speaks and presents at symposiums, National webinars in addition to being asked to speak and present at many institutions around the country with his main focus being educating staff from all walks of facility management and beyond on the critical nuances of Life Safety.
