Liz Durrence is a Vice President with Hammes Healthcare and the leader of the organization’s Operational Readiness practice. Liz has more than 20 years of healthcare administration experience serving in various administrative capacities within large hospital environments including nine years as the Chief Operating Officer for three separate health systems ranging in size from 258 beds to over 420 beds. She successfully managed with increasing operational responsibility more than 1,500 FTEs, over six dozen cost centers, and revenues of nearly $1 billion during her career as COO. Key achievements include developing new service lines and serving as owner’s representative for hundreds of millions of dollars in capital construction projects.
Liz holds a Master of Health Administration (MHA) and an MBA from the University of North Florida. She is an American College of Healthcare Executive Fellow, a Rotary member and Paul Harris Fellow.
