Growing up on a small Wisconsin dairy farm, Mike has roots in a love for nature, sustainability, and maintaining (very old) equipment on a tight budget. He is a Principal at Farnsworth Group leading the company’s Healthcare and Higher Ed strategies, along with being the former Director of Commissioning. Mike enjoys finding ways to make the commissioning process more practical and connected to operations and maintenance. He has worked on over 150 commissioning projects over the last 14 years and is a licensed electrical engineer, CxA, and LEED AP BD+C. He is currently completing his MBA from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois.
Mike is a content contributor for the ASHE Reliability Centered Maintenance Monograph and is a speaker on topics related to commissioning, asset management, healthcare, and sustainability. Mike volunteers at his church, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Central IL Chapter of Healthcare Engineering (CICHE), and is on a number of non-profit and for-profit Boards.
