Children’s Hospital Colorado Director Rhonda Skallan has a proven and successful track record in the management of business critical and construction projects for the hospital.

Rhonda manages projects for the hospital, totaling over $500M to date, from conception to closing and are diverse in scope: project durations from months to year, small applications to multi-year program, single-user departments to nation-wide and global rollouts.

Creating a sense of joint ownership of the outcome by all project contributors, communication and flexibility are hallmarks of Rhonda’s project management style. Rhonda operates from the vantage that all levels of project contributors must be at the table: all levels of hospital executive leadership, hospital middle management, hospital users, construction leaders, construction workers. Collaboration is key.

Rhonda credits this approach enabling her to inspire confidence and trust in all project players. This leadership style also motivates the teams she works with to consistently meet project expectations.

Operationally, Rhonda brings a bottom-line orientation, high-quality dedication and on-time delivery even in challenging situations.

In her role as Director of Planning, Design and Construction, she has developed and implemented many employee-training initiatives to enhance people's skills for the achievement of organizational goals.

Rhonda has 20+ years of professional healthcare construction management experience. She earned her Project Management Master’s from Regis University and her Family and Child Development B.S. with an emphasis on Administration from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
