Saul Jabbawy, is the Regional Director of Design and a Principal at EwingCole, bringing over 25 years of expertise in design, architecture, landscape architecture, planning, and healthcare planning. His multidisciplinary background allows him to craft integrated, human-centered environments that create seamless transitions between exterior landscapes and interior spaces, fostering healing, wellbeing, and a meaningful sense of place. Saul was named Architect of the Year by Healthcare Design Magazine in 2016, and his work has consistently been recognized across the healthcare, research, and education sectors for its elegant, modern aesthetic that balances functional performance with the celebration of everyday moments. Among his notable projects, Saul led the design of MSK Nassau in Uniondale, NY, a state-of-the-art ambulatory cancer center designed to evoke a hospitality-based, residential environment; the project earned the 2020 AIA Healthcare Design Award, the 2020 IIDA Healthcare Design Award for Ambulatory Cancer Center, and the 2021 IES International Certificate of Merit for Interior Lighting Design. Similarly, the MSK Bergen cancer center in Montvale, NJ, transformed a former office building into a patient-centered facility full of natural light, winning the 2018 IIDA Healthcare Design Award and the 2018 Interior Design Best of Year Award for Healthcare. Saul also led the Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN, a comprehensive healthcare facility that reflects the local cultural landscape and received the 2024 AIA Healthcare Design Award, the 2024 Healthcare Design Magazine Award of Merit, the 2024 IIDA Best of Healthcare Over 5K SF Award, and the 2024 ENR Midwest Best Project in Healthcare. His work at Jefferson Health’s Cherry Hill campus reimagined hospital design with hospitality-inspired elements and earned accolades such as the 2017 Interior Design Best of Year Award for Healthcare, the 2018 IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter Honor Award, and recognition as a 2018 A+Awards Finalist. Saul holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and is widely respected for his ability to lead diverse project teams toward unified, mission-driven outcomes.
