Tina Duncan AIA, ACHA, CBO

Tina is passionate about creating safe responsible environments for people to live and thrive. Since this involves a great deal of communication and collaboration, she believes understanding the project issues and providing solutions are paramount to achieving success.

Tina’s 22 years of dedicated architectural experience is the foundation of her special ability to understand and apply the often-arcane world of codes and standards. Tina is the force and talent that drives HKS’ focus on being the industry leader in technical and regulatory issues.

Tina chairs the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health Codes and Standards committee, president-elect of FGI, member of FGI Board of Directors, member of the FGI Health Guidelines Revision Committee, member of the International Code Council and NFPA, a certified building official, and a certified accessibility reviewer. She also co-authored the American Society of Healthcare Engineering’s, Design and Construction of Hospitals Checklist, co-edited Planning, Design, and Construction of Health Care Facilities, 4th edition by JCR and served as the chair for Weather and Man-Made Event Resiliency within the FGI Emergency Conditions Committee. She provides firmwide technical and regulatory review and insight on a project specific basis and enhances the technical and regulatory knowledge of HKS by leading in technical and educational seminars.
